We are proud to announce some of our wisteria are holidaying at Chelsea this year!
Cumbria Wisteria will be co-exhibiting with Brantwood, showcasing our Plant Heritage National Plant Collections of Wisteria species and Cultivars (dispersed).
Between us we are bringing the magic of wisteria to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, showcasing how they can be grown in small spaces and in many different ways.
Meet the collection holders dedicated to preserving the beauty of Wisteria for future generations and experience the sight (and scent!) of wisteria in full bloom to get a sense of the scale of a National Collection displayed as single stemmed trees and bonsai forms.
If you can’t get to Chelsea, you can visit Cumbria Wisteria, a small, private and almost exclusively wisteria garden containing over 60 wisteria, or visit Brantwood, historic home of the social reformer John Ruskin, where over 30 varieties have been planted around the house and gardens continuing the tradition of his experimental approach to horticulture.
Cumbria Wisteria visits are by appointment only, donations to Plant Heritage. Brantwood is open daily to the public – House and gardens £16.50, students £13.75, under 16s free. £1 discount with gondola/Coniston launch ticket. Pay once, visit all year.
